"Her self-evident mystery is one of Divine love,
the very presence of the eternal in the transient
like the fragrance exuding from a flower."
~ Shambhavi
funny... I selected this flower photo to post and then recalled that it was guiding my journey on the road to Mom's house last year.... |
Rose of Sharon reminds me of my grandmother. We have quite a few bushes of it -- all descended from two plants I brought to NC from my grandmother's yard in Florida. And her original plants came from her sister's yard in Alabama and probably those came from their mother's yard...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this, Vicki. How absolutely wonderful that you were able to bring the plant to your home from your family line of women! Sounds like this flower is indeed a mothering one!
ReplyDelete"the very presence of the eternal in the transient" - how lovely, and how true!!
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't that line Divine, Brenda?
