Waiting for the Other

Here I am. Ready.

A reflection waiting for the Other to make the first move.

We are in stillness. Extended moments in Infinite Pause.

I wait in shadow. A Pregnant Pause.

The Other is near and our hands meet, mirrors of soul and intent. Wrapped in red silk, warm blood pulsing. Without full form, we are shadow, and our hands pass through the world without touching or connecting. We must manifest, the Other and I. She is older and wiser, Teacher and Guide. Am I waiting or is She?

I feel a tremor, so slight, really more a thought of one than the real thing. A vibration begins, its ebb and flow one I have known before. It signals a new beginning. Rebirth. Will the Other come with me if I move? I pause again. A call of Light, a voice in the Dark. We are the same yet She is so much more vibrant wearing Her bright red and gold mantle, her flowing blue robes and her green shoes.

A great peace and quiet is here, deep within, me on one side and the Other just there. She begins to smile and I feel a tug on the corner of my mouth like a tiny hand plucking gently. Her love spreads like the smile and becomes a warm swell of fluid that comforts and softens.

Yet I'm curious about the Light that calls out for a journey. What is waiting out there while I wait in here, both present and full of miracles in their unique garments. Wings flutter in the light, glorious gossamer wings so frail and exquisite I dare not touch them but strong enough to carry the weight of all that was, is, and will be. Are they mine? Where might they take me? I pause, still, upon the threshold. What is this? I feel solid now, flesh is heavy. The other is waiting with Her encouraging smile. I move my hand and, yes, she is moving with me! Be brave! I reach out toward the wings in the Light and glimpse an opening, a portal into Being. I turn, step, and She remains with me as I gain momentum and we are lifted up and away into the Light of a new Life ... a new Moment ... Dawn ...

___________
After writing this, I heard the words from the song "Morning Has Broken" and so I share the music here as sung by one of my favorites Hayley Westenra.

The images are so lovely as well...

Step Strongly

Woman of knowing, woman of confidence.

I step strongly into transformation. I stride along, without hesitation, and She is One with me. Our feet along the path tread boldly and calmly. Within the glow of the moon, we are One, my body gleaming in the reflected glow of Her essence, a lunar moth my sacred companion. Within this light we move and share our love as One.

We are in the soft, subtle shimmer upon the verdant pine needles barely visible as a prickly shadow until our luminescence brings them to light, pointers upon our path.

We are in the sparkle of the ice crystals upon the black rock that sounds like glass against each other, their sharp edges slick with the overlay of frozen water as they bring discernment, cutting through confusion.

We are in the old rotting stump who feeds new life and is herself a testament to that which has gone before and what is to come, as she sits in the now, squatting with infinite patience as the frost scatters upon her like a thin icing of sugar.

We are in the curling bark of the birch, her skin reflecting the glow of the moon and the dark velvet cape of night sky, as she peels away from all she has known, layers revealed in slow motion through the seasons, her limbs now naked, baring all.

We are in the tiny scattered bones of creatures who come and go, their skulls and spines a gift to Mother Earth and to the winged messengers of the skies who carry fragments of minerals and former-souls far away.

We stride through the world of Grandmother Moon, a subtle world where nothing is quite what is seems and we must rely upon other senses, open ourselves, and see with our eyes closed, hear with our hearts open, and embrace the unknown that we were once One with.

Woman walks and moth flies; landing on my shoulder, I feel the down of the body, the brush of wings ever so frail yet able to soar so high and far. How can I be less? We are all capable of miracles. I see them all around me, as we walk through the frosty winter night together.

Growing Through Change

Change is coming.
Change is here and now.
Change is in community as we join together and sing Her praises, honoring the miracle that is Gaia and with whom we are all One, together, no space separates us for space is Gaia, too!

In Her our changes happen as we are meant to and I feel our connection. Sometimes I feel alone in all the change within and I sink into the dark outer space that seems to separate us. I feel a heaviness, a density of form and matter that begins to infiltrate my very Being, only to feel a nudge or nose or touch or whisper of air that caresses my skin or lifts my hair and I am once again connected though I was never really separate because She is always near, here and now, with the change, in the change, there is no leaving or separation.

I sit Sadhana and sing, chant, knowing that other voices somewhere are raised in a connecting energy that unites us everywhere, and I feel my voice with theirs, my arms on their shoulders and their arms around my waist, and we are a community of change for Gaia, for all of us. And in this common vision our connection grows, our community spreads underground, popping up all over like precious magical mushrooms in all shapes and sizes and we know the change to be here and now and beautiful in loving harmony.

Change is coming and we are joined as one in our connection to each other, in love with our divinity and destiny. Purpose creates a bond in community, our embrace one of honor and love, truth and commitment. All facets of our Being, we all come together to support the changes coming here and now. I sing out, voice strong and light-filled, singing Gaia and all of us into the glories of change...together.

Our relational or community cornerstone of change lies in acceptance, trust, love, and a deep knowing that we grow through change.
